Ostentatious History
We were born around the year 2016, under the illusion of our creator to have accessories that looked elegant, and of high quality, that looked very striking when he was in social gatherings.
The response to our friends and social networks was very positive, so in just a few days we decided to produce and market the accessories we liked.
These were two years in which we learned a lot about accessory design techniques, supplies, contacts, events, sales… In some way, our project was growing at its own pace. We established a virtual store on Instagram called “iema accessories”, and it was an accessories store aimed mainly at the male sector, a sector that we saw was lacking attention in terms of accessories.
In the company of a great friend, we developed the name “iema”, which is a play on words between gem and the use of fingertips when it is handmade work.

By April 2018, with a couple of years of experience, suppliers, knowledge and management of the local accessories market, we decided to undertake by giving our brand an interesting diversification, we became: "iema: hair - barber - studio", where our accessories had a physical location in the city of Barranquilla, and where we also offered hairdressing, barbering, manicure, pedicure and makeup services.

For eight months we successfully operated with this business model, we made great progress in terms of the business model, and we managed to develop the aesthetic vision of the brand.

New challenges arose that we wanted to face and the experience with the hair salon and the store showed us which was the right path. In December 2018 we accepted an offer to sell the business concept that we had and thus boost our business of production and sale of accessories under a new concept, but keeping the original idea: A store of accessories that are produced only with semi-precious gems and 18 carat gold.
In December 2018, ready to show everyone our new brand, we launched Ostentoso, an accessories brand whose premise is luxury, harmony, energy, and originality.
Over the years, at Ostentoso we have captivated all those who are not afraid to show their good energy, those who like to mix Gems in accessories with a great personality; those who like their exterior to speak for them as well.

In November 2022 we managed to open our first Ostentoso store in the city of Cartagena, where we have also experienced great developments in the aesthetic, competitiveness and even commercial fields.

Between 2023 and 2024 we have also sought to communicate through our logo, showing ourselves to be more flexible and elegant, taking advantage of our identity to continue positioning ourselves, and making it clear who we are through our logo; all for the best first impression.
